Chloe i can think of a few projects where we had to be creative (and artsy), the main one being that book thing we did in the beginning of the year, another being our Tales projects....

I think it was not supposed to make sense. i really think that it was just like that at the beginning to set the ready up so that the reader knows that this is going to be a pretty crazy and messed up play. it plays will all the words and questions to give us this effect

I definitely understand/agree with a lot of what you said here (his age being an issue, the ghost, ...), but I do NOT see the "urban" changes...I guess I'll have to make you explain this to me tomorrow, because it's not really clicking for me...

EDIT: I think I can remember listening to the "to be or not to be" speech and thinking it was strangely muted of emotion - so I guess I DO understand where you're coming from!

I definitely agree that listening to the recording helped me with comprehension - to keep me from focusing on little phrases and things - but I have to disagree with your feelings on his performance. You said that his tone rarely changed, but I actually thought the opposite! I found sometimes found myself wondering why he was being SO dramatic (with his inflection and such) - but to each their own I guess!

I don't think many of our projects have been that creative! I think they're definitely different, but they're not art projects - they're just free. If you want them to be 'creative' then they can be, but it's hard for me to think of a time that Mrs. Duke has been like, "create a piece of art to do this."

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that they force you to think outside the box, but when you use the word 'creative' it makes me think of artsy things, and I don't necessarily think that's an accurate representation of the class...did that make sense?!

I also found myself laughing at the country gal thing. Anyways, when dealing with the Duke projects, you usually get the directions and say things like, what the hell is this woman asking me to do? I really think I have had mental breakdowns just from reading the directions, but there is my flaw, I don't give it time to make since or stir my imagination right before jumping to conclusions. Projects take time and imagination, so don't be looking the night before for an answer in the directions, because what you search for will not be there.
